‘The Hunger Games’ Prequel Film ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ Release Date Revealed

Since 2015 fans of The Hunger Games may have thought they had seen the end of the cruel world when Mockingjay Part 2 came out, but instead they get to experience Panem through the most unlikely eyes, an 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow. The prequel book, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes reelased in May 2020.

During their CinemaCon panel, Lionsgate revealed that the release date for the movie adaptation will be November 17, 2023. While the release date has been revealed, the cast has not, so audiences will have to wait a little longer to see who will bring these new characters to life.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes follows Snow as he becomes a mentor during the 10th Hunger Games to a woman, Lucy Gray Baird, from a district Hunger Games fans are very familiar with, District 12. Fans will have to wait until November 2023 to see what adventures a young Snow has in store for the young tribute.
