Ghostface will return to terrorize for the sixth time on the big-screen March 31, 2023. There is currently no title for the movie, which is effectively being referred to as Scream 6 for the time being.
The creative team behind 2022’s Scream is returning, with Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett directing and James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick returning to pen the script. Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and William Sherak will produce with Kevin Williamson, Chad Villella, Gary Barber, and Peter Oillataguerre as executive producers.
Earlier this week, Courteney Cox revealed that she would be reprising her role as Gale Weathers, that she already has a copy of the script, and that filming will begin this June. As of now, Cox is the only confirmed member of the cast, although it is expected that cast members from 2022’s Scream will return, as the fifth installment had a relatively low body count and therefore provides a new generation of legacy characters moving forward.
