‘Squid Game’ Wins Multiple Critics Choice Super Awards

The winners for the second annual Critics Choice Super Awards are in, and Netflix’s highly popular and talk about series, Squid Game, has taken home three series wins, tying with WandaVision.

The wins include:

  • Best Action Series
  • Best Actor in an Action Series – Lee Jung-Jae
  • Best Actress in an Action Series – HoYean Jung

The Korean drama from Netflix follows a group of adults facing high-stakes financial problems. When they accept an invitation to participate in a series of children’s games for a tempting cash prize, they quickly learn that playing comes at a deadly price.

The Squid Game series finale left fans on a cliffhanger, making most wonder what’s next for the high-stakes drama, but series writer and director Hwang Dong-hyuk has confirmed a second season is in the works.

The Critics Choice Super Awards honors superhero, science fiction, fantasy, horror, action movies, and series. You can find the complete list of winners here.
