Nominations for the 2022 Critics Choice Super Awards have been announced, and everyone’s favorite first responder series and LAPD Sergeant have been nominated!
FOX’s 9-1-1 is nominated for Best Action Series, while Angela Bassett is nominated for Best Actress in an Action Series for her portrayal of Athena Grant. 9-1-1 is currently in the midst of its fifth season, with new episodes premiering next month.
Other contenders in the Best Action Series category include:
- Netflix’s Cobra Kai
- Starz’s Heels
- The CW’s Kung Fu
- Netflix’s Lupin
- Netflix’s Squid Game
Meanwhile, Best Actress in an Action Series nominations also include:
- Kim Joo-ryoung from Squid Game (Netflix)
- Ho Yeon Jung from Squid Game (Netflix)
- Queen Latifah from The Equalizer (CBS)
- Olivia Liang from Kung Fu (The CW)
- Mary McCormack from Heels (Starz)
Last year, both 9-1-1 and Angela Bassett were nominated, and while the series lost, Bassett came out on top. Will that happen again this year, with 9-1-1 winning as well?
