‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Nominated for Oscar

The Academy Award nominations are here, and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: No Way Home has received a nomination under the category for Best Visual Effects. Going up against Spider-Man: No Way Home in the visual effects category will be Dune, Free Guy, No Time to Die, and fellow Marvel movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

The blockbuster which stars all three actors who have played Spider-Man in recent years – Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire – has earned more than $1.7 billion at the global box office to become the sixth highest-grossing film of all time since releasing December 17, 2021.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is still showing exclusively in theaters, and is expected to release on digital soon. The 2022 Academy Award ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 27, 2022.
