The out-of-this-world series, Resident Alien, which was ranked as the number one new cable series in 2021, is returning in 2022! Harry Vanderseigle and his human friends are landing back on SYFY on January 26, 2022. But wait, there’s more! The mid-season finale date has also been announced. It will air on March 16, 2022, with more new episodes returning in the summer.

During the first season, fans of the show saw how a crash-landed alien in a human disguise of one Harry Vanderspeigle (Alan Tudyk) tries to hide while fixing his ship so he can destroy Earth — all while having a nemesis who is a child, and the only one who can see his true face. Viewers see Harry get drunk for the first time and become friends with the very humans he is there to destroy.

Season 2 will still see Harry on Earth, but this time he is protecting it while eating lots of pizza, taking a trip to New York City, and do more Law and Order crime-solving.

Chris Sheridan brings the series to life from the Dark Horse comic series. Resident Alien also stars Sara Tomko (Asta Twelvetrees), Corey Reynolds (Sheriff Mike Thompson), Alice Wetterlund (D’Arcy Bloom), Elizabeth Bowen (Deputy Liv Baker), Levi Fiehler (Mayor Ben Hawthorne), Judah Prehn (Max Hawthorne), Meredith Garretson (Kate Hawthorne), Gary Farmer (Dan Twelvetrees), Gracelyn Awad Rinke (Sahar), Kaylayla Raine (Jay), and more. Plus, joining the cast this year is Alex Borstein (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as the mayor’s wife’s cousin.

The second season returns Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Don’t miss it!
