Stan Lee Wax Figure on Its Way to Madame Tussauds
Madame Tussauds, the New York museum that houses the most significant celebrity wax figures on five floors, has a new resident. Legendary comic icon Stan Lee, striking a web-slinging pose and wearing his signature cardigan, khakis, sneakers, and aviator glasses, has arrived. Gill Champion, CEO, and President of POW Entertainment, shared his thought on the addition,
“The legacy of Stan Lee continues to live on through his incredible body of work as well as in all of our hearts. It’s a great joy to see Stan Lee’s wax figure at Madame Tussauds and to give his loyal fans a new way to engage with our dear friend. I know Stan would get a kick out of seeing himself immortalized in wax standing shoulder to shoulder with many of the heroes he loved so much.”
Fans will now be able to find the wax figure as of November 25 in the newly redone Hall of Heroes next to Spiderman. In the new addition, Tiago Mogadouro, Head of Marketing, said,
“We’re so excited to be introducing Stan Lee’s wax figure into Madame Tussauds New York Hall of Heroes. This is the perfect location to honor such an entertainment legend and give fans the ultimate way to keep his memory alive.”
Before reaching the museum starting on November 16, the Stan Lee wax figure visited three iconic locations: the famed 177A Bleecker Street, Dr. Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum, Bethesda Terrace where the Avengers bid farewell to Thor and Loki on their way back to Asgard, and last but certainly not least in Stan Lee’s hometown in the Bronx on Stan Lee Way.
Excelsior!
