Disney+ Day is the day to celebrate Disney, and the hype keeps building with every release!

Deadline has just announced the upcoming Predator prequel is set to drop in summer 2022 and will be titled Prey.

Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) was first announced as director a year ago, under the working title Skulls.

The film explores the Comanche Nation around 300 years ago, following our protagonist Naru, a skilled female warrior who fiercely protects her tribe against a highly evolved alien predator.

Prey wrapped filming in Calgary on September 12 of this year, with a script penned by Patrick Aison (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan).

This will be the seventh in the series of films, beginning in 1987 with the box office hit Predator, and the most recent being 2018’s The Predator.
