Share

In celebration of Disney+ Day, Lucasfilm has just released an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi special event series.

The minute-long preview is available to view on Disney+, and it features commentary from star Ewan McGregor and director Deborah Chow, along with some concept art from the series.

Obi-Wan Kenobi sees the return of McGregor as the iconic Jedi Master, taking place 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, in which Kenobi faced his greatest defeat — the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker. The series will see some other familiar faces as well, including Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader and Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse as Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.

Other cast members include Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie, and Maya Erskine.

The series is directed by Chow, who also previously directed two episodes of The Mandalorian.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is coming exclusively to Disney+ in 2022.
