New York Comic Con (NYCC) is fast approaching, and Peacock has announced that they will be holding three special panels during the event.

The much anticipated, fan-favorite movie Psych 3: This is Gus will be the subject of one panel, while the upcoming YA drama’s One of Us is Lying, and The Girl in the Woods will round out the trio of panels.

Each panel has been pre-recorded especially for NYCC and will premiere live at the convention. However, if you cannot attend in person, these panels, along with the rest of the convention, will also occur virtually at NYCC 2021 on NewYorkComicCon.com and FindTheMetaverse.com. Then after the premiere, the panels will be available on VOD for viewing by NYCC digital ticket holders.

This panel will take place on Saturday, October 9 at 5 p.m. in Room 405, just two days after the series, based on the New York Times best-selling novel of the same name, premieres on Peacock. Before you head to this panel, be sure to check out the show to jump into the story of what happens when five high schoolers walk into detention and only four come out alive. That way you’ll be ready to hear everything cast members Annalisa Cochrane (Addy), Chibuikem Uche (Cooper), Marianly Tejada (Bronwyn), Cooper van Grootel (Nate), and Mark McKenna (Simon), as well as executive producer Erica Saleh and showrunner/executive producer Darío Madron have to share about bringing a fan-favorite book to life.

The Girl in the Woods

Peacock

This panel will take place on Saturday, October 9 at 6:45 p.m. in Room 411 and is unique in that the show will not actually be available to stream until October 21. This panel is for fans of the supernatural who want an exclusive first look at this series from Crypt TV’s monster universe. However, the panel will also feature executive producers Jack Davis and Darren Brandl, plus co-executive producer Jasmine Johnson and director and co-executive producer Krysten Ritter discussing how they brought this supernatural story to life.

Set in the Pacific Northwest, The Girl in the Woods follows Carrie’s escape from her mysterious, cult-like colony that guards the world against monsters hidden behind a secret door within the woods. So, if this sounds like it might be up your alley, make sure to tune into the panel to get all the behind-the-scenes details.

LeeAnn
LeeAnn
LeeAnn is children's librarian who joined Nerds and Beyond in 2020 as a way to stretch her writing skills and connect with others who have the same pop culture passions as she does. She loves music, reading (obviously), and any TV show that can grab and hold her attention. Currently some of her favorite things to nerd out over include Supernatural, Prodigal Son, Louden Swain and Percy Jackson (books, theater, or upcoming show - lets leave the movies out of it).
