Owen Wilson has joined LaKeith Stanfield and Tiffany Haddish in the upcoming Haunted Mansion film from Disney.

The plot is being kept under wraps, but it will follow a family that moves into the famed haunted mansion. It is set to begin filming this October.

Director Justin Simien is making his studio premiere with the script penned by Katie Dippold. Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich will produce beneath their Rideback banner.

Haunted Mansion is another addition to Disney’s growing filmography based on their popular Parks rides. Most recently, Jungle Cruise took in over $106 million domestically, and a sequel has already been greenlit.

Wilson was most recently seen as the fan favorite Mobius in Marvel Studios’ third Disney+ series, Loki. The series was the first of Marvel’s to receive a second season. He can also be seen in the upcoming Wes Anderson film The French Dispatch.

The news was first reported by THR.
