Jabari Banks’ life just got turned upside down, and he’s headed to Bel-Air! According to Variety, Banks will play the titular character of Will, which of course was played by Will Smith himself in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Jabari currently resides in West Philadelphia and not only has taken up acting, but dabbles in songwriting, singing, rapping, and basketball to name a few. The dramatic reboot, entitled Bel-Air, will be a retelling of Will’s journey from Philadelphia to Bel-Air.
Peacock ordered two seasons back in September 2020, and the series is based off a viral video from Morgan Cooper, who will also serve as director, executive producer, and co-writer.
