The Los Angeles ‘Haunted Hayride’ Returns for the 2021 Halloween Season

The spooky season is only two months away, and in preparation, the city of Los Angeles has announced the return of its Haunted Hayride, a seasonal staple for the city of angels.

The Halloween event opens to the public starting September 24 and will run on select nights through October 31. The premier event will be returning to LA’s Griffith Park with more hayrides, mazes, trick or treating, and so much more for the whole family.

The attractions featured in this year’s Haunted Hayride include Midnight Falls: Scare Zone and The Haunted Hayride Experience: Spirit of Halloween.

Midnight Falls: Scare Zone

Visit the strange and sinister town of Midnight Falls, where it is 1985 all the time. The eerie community and its citizens are celebrating its 13th annual Halloween Festival. Guests visiting will get to roam around the neighborhoods and explore the businesses Midnight Falls has to offer while unlocking the deep, dark secrets lurking within the town’s history. Don’t forget to visit the town square between attractions to interact with townsfolk as they attend their businesses.

The Haunted Hayride Experience: Spirit of Halloween

Settled within the foothills of the mysterious Midnight Falls, this hayride will take guests on a thrilling and terrifying ride, unlocking the horrors inflicting the town after a portal had opened up, unleashing horrifying creatures onto Midnight Falls. Guests brave enough to endure the hayride will come face to face with the spirit of Halloween in this unforgettable adventure.

The list below features additional attractions available at this year’s event.

  • Trick-or-Treat– Midnight Falls has sprung to life with the magic of Halloween. The various creatures and monsters have decorated their houses for trick-or-treaters while the mischievous little ghouls lurk in the shadows waiting to give a fright.
  • Midnight Mortuary– Dying to drum up more business, the local Mortuary is hosting an open house where guests can tour the property to see what offerings await their demise. Guests separated from their tour risk becoming the next customer of the sinister funeral home.
  • Dead End Diner– After a night of frights sit down and enjoy a meal fit for any gal or ghoul.
