‘Everything’s Gonna Be Okay’ Cancelled on Freeform

Everything’s Gonna Be Okay is officially cancelled after two seasons on Freeform. The oddball comedy starred series creator Josh Thomas as Nicholas, who assumes guardianship for his two half sisters Matilda (Kayla Cromer) and Genevieve (Maeve Press) after their father dies. Along with his boyfriend Alex (Adam Faison), Nicholas must navigate becoming a quasi-parent to two teenage girls while dealing with his own internal crises. Thomas confirmed the news in a Twitter statement praising the cast and crew.

The series was hailed for its groundbreaking representation for the LGBTQIA+ community and for its autistic characters like Matilda and Drea. Both seasons of Everything’s Gonna Be Okay are available on Hulu.
