Today Apple TV+ released the trailer for the second season of the NAACP Image Award-winning drama Truth Be Told. The series features Octavia Spencer as Poppy Parnell, who uses her crime podcast to pursue truth and justice. Joining Spencer this season is Kate Hudson as Poppy’s childhood friend and media mogul Micah Keith. As these friends search for answers from Michah’s past, secrets are discovered, and their lifelong friendship is put to the ultimate test.
In addition to Hudson, joining the cast this season are Christopher Backus, Alona Tal, David Lyons, Andre Royo, Merle Dandridge, and Mychala Faith Lee. Returning cast members include Mekhi Phifer, Ron Cephas Jones, Tracie Thoms, and Haneefah Wood. Truth Be Told was created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman and produced by Hello Sunshine, Chernin Entertainment, and Endeavor Content. Serving as executive producers alongside Spellman are Octavia Spencer, Reese Witherspoon, and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine; Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping for Chernin Entertainment; and Mikkel Nørgaard.
