‘Riverdale’: New Description and Photos Released for Season 5, Episode 11 “Chapter Eighty-Seven: Strange Bedfellows”

It’s been a few months since Riverdale had that insane midseason finale and now the show is finally back to finish off season 5! The CW has released a new description for the upcoming episode “Chapter Eighty-Seven: Strange Bedfellows,” as well as new photos! The episode will take place just after the events of the midseason finale, following the breakout at Hiram’s prison and Jughead’s disappearance.

The full description for “Chapter Eighty-Seven: Strange Bedfellows” reads:

RETURN TO RIVERDALE — In the aftermath of the prison break at Hiram’s (Mark Consuelos) jail, Archie (KJ Apa) leads the charge to round up the remaining convicts on the loose. Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook) reaches out for Betty’s (Lili Reinhart) help when she realizes Jughead (Cole Sprouse) is missing. When Penelope (guest star Nathalie Boltt) re-enters the fold, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) becomes suspicious of her true intentions.  Camila Mendes, Madchen Amick, Casey Cott, Charles Melton and Drew Ray Tanner also star. Tessa Blake directed the episode written by Aaron Allen (#511).  Original airdate 8/11/2021.

Meanwhile, in the new photos, Archie is teaming up with Veronica, Kevin, Fangs, Reggie and his Uncle Frank to round up the remaining convicts around Riverdale. Check out the photos below!

While it’s been nearly four months since we last got a new Riverdale, it is soon returning, meaning the Mothmen, escaped convicts and blackmailing husbands will be returning to your screens very soon. Riverdale returns Wednesday, August 11 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on The CW!
