Under The Volcano is a nostalgic music documentary highlighting the iconic music studio AIR Studios Montserrat, where the world’s legendary recording artists made music that shaped an era.
AIR Studios Montserrat was built in 1979 by Beetles producer Sir George Martin. The recording studio created music magic under an active volcano on a Caribbean paradise. The studio was home to the world’s most influential artists and gave the world some of the most iconic songs to ever hit the airwaves.
Under The Volcano introduces the audience to the secretive and untold story of AIR Studios Montserrat through first-hand accounts from the artists who recorded there, archival footage, and a killer soundtrack. Check out the trailer below.
Under The Volcano features interviews with Sting, Andy Summers, Stewert Copland, Mark Knopfler, Nick Rhodes, Midge Ure, Jimmy Buffett, and Verdine White. It was directed by Gracie Otto. The film will be available on digital and on-demand on August 17.
