‘Resident Alien’ Lands Four HCA TV Award Nominations, “DUN DUN”

The inaugural Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) TV Awards are approaching, and the official list of nominees has been revealed! The awards ceremony will pay tribute to the best of television, and it will also be the first of its kind to separate broadcast/cable programming from streaming.

The out-of-this-world SYFY series Resident Alien has received four nominations! The series, which is based on the Dark Horse Comic book, follows a new small-town doctor with no bedside manner who loves Law & Order, tormenting a local kid, and is an alien from outer space. Resident Alien was renewed for a second season and is nominated for Best Cable Series, Comedy.

The alien doctor Harry Vanderspeigle Alan Tudyk is nominated for Best Actor in a Broadcast Network or Cable Series, Comedy.

Corey Reynolds is nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Broadcast Network or Cable Series, Comedy for his portrayal of Sheriff Mike Thompson.

Meanwhile, our favorite bartender and badass Alice Wetterlund, who plays D’ Arcy Bloom, is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Broadcast Network or Cable Series, Comedy.

On August 22, a ceremony will occur at Avalon Hollywood, where the trophies will be presented.
