Freeform’s massive hit Cruel Summer was nominated for three awards at the inaugural Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) TV Awards! The new award show honors the best in television and is the first award show to separate categories between broadcast/cable and streaming.

The series itself was nominated for Best Cable Series, Drama, while stars Chiara Aurelia and Olivia Holt were both nominated for Best Actress in a Broadcast Network or Cable Series, Drama. The twisty drama hinged on the performances of both actors, so it’s only fitting the duo were nominated together.

Cruel Summer was recently renewed for season 2 on Freeform and is expected to premiere next year. The HCA TV Awards will be handed out on August 22.
