The Fear Street trilogy is based on R.L. Stine’s classic book series about a generational curse that lives in the town of Shadyside. 1978 stars Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Emily Rudd (Dynasty), Gillian Jacobs (Invincible), and Ryan Simpkins.
The first part of the trilogy, Fear Street Part 1: 1994 (which is available to stream now on Netflix), introduces us to a fearless group of teens who investigate the town’s history of sinister events and realize they all may be linked in some way. And as the trailer above shows, our heroes need to learn about what happened 16 years earlier, if they have any chance of ending the horror.
The final part of the trilogy, Fear Street Part 3: 1666, will be released next week on July 16.
