A new release date has finally been announced for the upcoming action comedy film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Audiences will have to wait a bit longer, as the Lionsgate feature is now due to arrive in theaters on April 22, 2022.
Directed by Tom Gormican with a screenplay co-written with Kevin Etten, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent stars Nicolas Cage as … himself. After receiving a $1 million offer in exchange for attending the birthday of an eccentric superfan (Pedro Pascal), the struggling, fictionalized version of Cage has no choice but to accept. Cage then finds himself recruited by a CIA operative (Tiffany Haddish) and must channel his most iconic and beloved on-screen characters to ensure the safety of his loved ones.
The film also stars Sharon Horgan, Alessandra Mastronardi, Lily Sheen, Jacob Scipio, Neil Patrick Harris, and Paco León.
