As the weather heats up in Texas, so does Steve Carlson. Carlson performed a jam-packed hour of music from his first solo album to his latest album with Jensen Ackles and their new band, Radio Company. He opened up with “Under You,” a song from his debut album, Spot In the Corner. He continued performing songs from his debut album, including “Radio in My Head.”

The Sunday StageIt with Steve Carlson is an opportunity to hear him play live while not on tour. This is his second StageIt in four weeks, and as in that StageIt, the top supporter received a personalized music video and a special message from Carlson! All tippers who tipped over 100 tickets received a photograph of Carlson taken following the show.

Carlson had his first live in-person concert in Austin, TX at the Candlelight Cabaret at Pershing Hall last weekend since the Fall of 2020. StageIt concerts differ from live shows as it allows those who do not live locally to see him, as most musicians are not yet touring nationally, because of the pandemic. Carlson has performed multiple StageIt concerts and Zoom parties for Patreon followers.

Other songs he performed on Sunday included:

“Without You”
“The One that Got Away”
“Torch In the Rain”
“Different Town”
“Truly Forgotten”
“Dreamwave”

In one of the last songs, Carlson gave us a glimpse of his weekend. He said he spent it with Jimmie Vaughan, blues guitarist and brother to the late Stevie Ray Vaughan. Jimmie is an avid Elvis Presley fan and has decorated the house with Elvis Presley items, which inspired Steve to sing “That’s Alright Mama.”

Carlson indicated that he might produce another solo album in addition to the Radio Company albums with Jensen Ackles. His last comment was, “You guys are amazing. I couldn’t ask for more love.” It’s no doubt that his fans feel the same way about him.
