Over the past year or so, Michael Cimino has won over viewers’ hearts as Victor Salazar in the Hulu original series Love, Victor. Now, he’s ready to win over our ears. Today, Cimino released his debut single, titled “Love Addict.”
Cimino is no stranger to music, and his talent shines through in the song. He demonstrates his vocal range that complements the accompanying instrumentals. Musically, the song offers a blend of pop and R&B elements, creating a swoon-worthy soundscape. Lyrically, Cimino offers two sides of the same coin, singing about someone in love with the idea of love and needs to experience it, despite the negative feelings it may create.
Cimino has also released the official music video for the song, which he’s featured in alongside Talia Jackson. The video, shot entirely in black and white, boasts an intimate apartment setting set in New York City. As Cimino sings, he shows a person who regrets being a “love addict” but will just as easily whip out the romance. Check out the video below.
