Let’s set the scene. June 2, a stage, a guitar, a mic stand, a stuffed giraffe, and an audience singing along to a cover of “My Girl”. After 15 months of no live music, you could feel the energy in the audience grow as everyone started joining in, something most in the audience have been waiting to do this entire pandemic. Ryan Montbleau, a New England native, recently performed in Annapolis, Maryland at the Rams Head On Stage, a popular venue known for its good music and good vibes.
With a variety of songs from his new albums, covers, and a song from his duo group, Yes Darling with Hayley Jane, the night was a sort of collaborative show with the audience yelling out favorite songs as requests. This audience participation made the show super intimate with a fun and joyful energy that was felt throughout the whole building. It surely continued as Ryan toured throughout the south, hitting up places in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and New York (not Southern, but we will forgive this one transgression). He has also released some brand new July tour dates in Utah and New England, so check out his website for tickets!
