Riordan announced his new book back in February, promising a modern take on Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. The story is set to tell the story of Ana Dakkar, a high school student at Harding-Pencroft Academy — the school behind the world’s best marine scientists, naval warriors, navigators, and underwater explorers. She’s about to go on the underwater adventure of a lifetime, and the cover by Lavanya Naidu gives us a sneak peek of said adventure.

The story promises to be full of the action, humor, and relationships — from classmates to friends and enemies — that make Riordan one of our favorite authors. Daughter of the Deep arrives on October 5, 2021. You can place a pre-order here now. Check out our article here for information about how to read the special Buzz Books excerpt of the first two chapters.
