FX Networks Sets Release Date for B.J. Novak Anthology Series

FX has unveiled a slew of release dates for returning and new series, and among them is an anthology series from The Office‘s B.J. Novak.

The currently untitled anthology will be a half-hour series hosted by Novak. The show will focus on “people figuring out timeless moral questions in unprecedented times,” showcasing how society can engage with relevant issues through art instead of argument.

Some of the topics the show will explore include social justice, gun control, social media, revenge, love, identity, and more. It aims to combine “a searching philosophical spirit with provocative concepts, and marrying bold comedic ideas with even bolder dramatic performances.” The untitled series hopes to bring dynamic character-driven stories to the screen.

Along with Novak, Jon Bernthal, Kaitlyn Dever, Lucas Hedges, Boyd Holbrook, O’Shea Jackson Jr., George Wallace, Ed Asner, Amy Landecker, and Beau Bridges are set to appear in the show — along with yet-to-be-announced additions. Novak and John Lesher executive produce. The series is produced by FX Productions.

The series will premiere on FX on Hulu on Thursday, September 16. Stay tuned for more updates.
