Paul Mescal to Lead A24’s ‘God’s Creatures’

Deadline is exclusively reporting that Paul Mescal and Emily Watson will join the new drama film God’s Creatures. The A24 film will focus on Watson as an Irish mother who lies to protect her son (Mescal) and the impact that the lie has on their entire town. It will be directed by Saela Davis and Anna Rose Holmer, who won acclaim for their film The Fits back in 2017.

Mescal currently has several projects in the works after his breakthrough role as Connell Waldron in Normal People last year. There is no word yet on a release date for the film, but according to Deadline, it is in production now.
