Paul Mescal of ‘Normal People’ Joins Thriller ‘Bring Them Down’ With Tom Burke

Normal People star Paul Mescal has joined the cast of Bring Them Down alongside Tom Burke, known for his role as the lead character in the BBC series Strike. Bring Them Down is a thriller set in Ireland chronicling the story of an Irish shepherd dealing with the massacre of his sheep by mysterious assailants. According to Deadline, who broke the news, the film will go into production later this year.
Mescal is currently filming the opera Carmen and recently wrapped The Lost Daughter with Olivia Colman. Burke recently played Orson Welles in Mank for Netflix, which is drawing Oscar buzz after garnering six Golden Globe nominations. No release date has been set for the film.
