In an exciting new announcement, The CW has revealed that legendary actor LeVar Burton will join the network’s potential Nancy Drew spin-off Tom Swift in a key role! Burton will voice Barclay, Tom’s AI companion who the inventor created himself. According to Deadline, Barclay will accompany Tom on all his adventures and function much like the AI Jarvis did for Tony Stark in the early Iron Man films. The character’s name is an homage to Bud Barclay, Tom’s best friend in the original novels.
