With a month to go until the season 2 premiere of Mythic Quest, it has been announced that a special standalone episode entitled “Everlight” will land on Apple TV+ next Friday, April 16.
Created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz, Mythic Quest follows the team behind the (fictionally) biggest multiplayer video game of all time. Jam-packed full of comedy and heart, the series explores the good, the bad, and the ugly of what goes on behind closed doors in the office building. McElhenney leads the series alongside Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Danny Pudi, F. Murray Abraham, Imani Hakim, Jessie Ennis, and Ashly Burch.
The last time we saw the Mythic Quest crew was in the “Quarantine” episode that tied off the first season, in which the team interacted via video chat while working remotely, and we saw the varying effects that the pandemic was having on each of them. Now, next week’s new episode will focus on the struggles that come with returning to normal life as the team heads back to the office for their annual Everlight party, which will include a LARP tournament and none other than Sir Anthony Hopkins as a voice guest star.
Season 2 of Mythic Quest will see the team back in the office as they attempt to build upon the success of Raven’s Banquet by launching their next expansion. However, Ian and his new co-creative director Poppy find themselves struggling with the game’s direction. Meanwhile, C.W. will work to reconcile unresolved issues from his past, Rachel and Dana test the bounds of an office romance, and Jo leaves David to becomes Brad’s assistant instead.

The second season of Mythic Quest will premiere on May 7 exclusively on Apple TV+.
