With exactly one week to go until the premiere of Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie took over co-star Sebastian Stan’s Instagram account today to drop an exclusive clip from the series. The video is an extended version of a scene we saw in one of the teaser trailers earlier this week, in which Sam boldly claims that a sorcerer is just a wizard without a hat.
Just when you thought that clip couldn’t get any better …
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is a 6-episode miniseries that will explore the aftermath of Steve Rogers’ decision to pass on his vibranium shield to Mackie’s Sam Wilson. We’ll see the hilariously epic team up of Sam and Stan’s Bucky Barnes as the two embark on a global adventure that tests their skills and their patience. The witty banter between the two that was first established the films will carry over into the “buddy comedy action movie” feel of the show, which Stan and Mackie commented on recently in a behind-the-scenes featurette.
In addition to Mackie and Stan, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will see the return of Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Zemo, Don Cheadle as James Rhodes, and Georges St-Pierre as Batroc the Leaper. Some new additions will include Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent and Adepero Oduye as Sam’s sister Sarah.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will land exclusively on Disney+ next Friday, March 19.
