Hold on to your hats, Prodigies because the trailer for Prodigal Son‘s second half of season 2 is here and it’s, well, killer! Shared today on Alan Cumming’s Instagram, the trailer teases a closer look at Cumming and Catherine Zeta-Jones’ characters who will be playing more prominent roles as the season continues.

It looks like Simon Hoxley (Cumming), the Europol agent investigating the death of Nicholas Endicott, is very suspicious of the Whitly family and it’s clear he intends to uncover the truth about Endicott’s demise. Can Malcolm and Ainsley avoid detection? The trailer also gives a few glimpses of the upcoming Edrisa-centric episode (episode 9) and even more unusual murders for the NYPD squad to solve, with Malcolm’s expert eye to help of course. Check out the trailer below!

We may also learn more details about how Malcolm got rid of Endicott (he is cutting off a thumb in the clip) as the Whitly’s band together to keep Hoxley off their trail. Meanwhile at Claremont, Martin and Dr. Capshaw seem to … come to an understanding as he takes up duties in the medical bay. She’s been forewarned about Martin’s attempts to charm her, but will she fall for them anyway? The trailer aptly ends with Malcolm reading one of his affirmation cards, meant to be uplifting, “I am grateful for the lessons I have learned from my family.” Understandably, he rips it up.

The second half of season 2 is shaping up to be just as exciting as the first. What are you most looking forward? Let us know in the comments below!
