Get Ready for ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ With Action-Packed New Trailer
Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes are back.
In just over a month’s time, the long-awaited Marvel series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will finally premiere on Disney+. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will be reprising their roles in this series, which takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame (in which Steve Rogers handed over his vibranium shield to Sam). Both their abilities and their patience will be tested as the two set off on a global adventure.
The show will include some familiar faces, such as Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo and Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter. New characters will also be appearing in the series, namely Wyatt Russell as John Walker a.k.a. U.S. Agent, the U.S. government’s militaristic successor to Captain America.
For those uninterested in the sports-focused side of this fine Sunday evening, the Super Bowl commercials have at least come bearing a very relevant gift — a brand new trailer for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Check it out below.
As if we weren’t already on the edge of our seats eagerly awaiting this series, this new trailer has kicked up the excitement a notch … or twenty. Is it March yet?
The current state of Sam and Bucky’s friendship … frenemyship? … whatever you’d like to call it … appears to be as amusing as ever. It was a blast to watch these two meet and interact in the previous Marvel films, and clearly they’ve carried over this “rapport” for the show as well. Separately, they’re both very capable and skilled superheroes in their own right, so one of the highlights of the show will be watching them learn how to work together.
There are a few key moments in this trailer, including an ominous voice over from Brühl’s Zemo — “Superheroes cannot be allowed to exist … I have no intention to leave my work unfinished.” We also see VanCamp’s Sharon Carter at one point — kicking ass and taking names, as usual. Russell’s U.S. Agent makes an appearance as well, jogging onto a football field for some sort of halftime performance. And can we all just take a moment to appreciate the scene transition when Sam tosses the shield, only for Bucky to catch it in the next? Sharing is caring, right?
An epic new poster has also been released for the series as well.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will land exclusively on Disney+ on Friday, March 19. Stay tuned for our weekly recaps!
