After announcing his intention to start using his Twitch channel to produce musicians’ original songs live for fans to see, Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park/Fort Minor) has moved quickly on making his idea a reality. Quickly following up yesterday’s first production session (January 14), which featured Chris Kelly’s “Bittersweet,” Shinoda has now produced the second fan track, with more on the way.
This second production session featured a track submitted by UK musician Alex McMillian, titled “Bones.” Well known by Linkin Park fans for his YouTube cover videos of some of the band’s most iconic songs, such as “Numb,” “Breaking The Habit,” “One More Light,” and more, many members of Shinoda’s Twitch community were excited to see one of McMillian’s original tracks featured on Shinoda’s channel. In addition to his amazing covers, McMillan also creates original music under the name Razor Red Noise, an electronic rock project he created more than a decade ago which has already produced over a dozen albums. He also has another project called In Viridian, dedicated solely to instrumental music, and, much like his other work, has also produced multiple albums.
If you haven’t already, make sure to check out both Alex McMillan’s original music and covers, as well as his track “Bones” be produced by Mike Shinoda in the video below! Stay tuned to Shinoda’s Twitch channel for the next production session on Tuesday, January 19, around 10 a.m. PT, which will feature a hip-hop beat from emcee Cam Archer!
