As part of Ed Asner’s charity effort to benefit The Ed Asner Family Center, Deadline reports that Pete Davidson will lead an all star cast in a reading of the classic film It’s a Wonderful Life. The film follows George Bailey, a kind, moral man who believes he has had little impact on the world around him. Facing a catastrophic loss, he decides the world would be better off without him in it. Enter Clarence, an angel tasked with showing George just how much the world needs him before it’s too late. The original film starred James Stewart in the role of George, who Davidson will play in the read through.

Other actors announced for the project include Mia Farrow, Ellie Kemper, Carol Kane, Ed Begley Jr., Diedrich Bader, Bill Pullman, Richard Kind, B.D. Wong, and Michael Shannon (whose roles have yet to be announced). Maude Apatow will play Violet Bick.

Tickets are on sale here, and the event will take place on December 13 at 5 p.m. PT. You can read our Nerds Gets Cheery article on the original film here.
