Premiere Episode of Sci-Fi Podcast ‘The Oyster’ Now Available

The Paragon Collective is bringing a new podcast to listeners, and the first episode has officially premiered. Titled The Oyster, this new sci-fi podcast brings listeners to the year 2050, when Earth has become uninhabitable due to an overwhelming amount of carbon emissions. In an effort to save humanity, the government has mandated a brain microchip implant, which helps the move to underground shelters and determine a person’s usefulness to society based on a score — a score that also decides who moves underground and who is left to die on the surface.

In 2052, the government found life still could not be sustained, and thus, a software program called “The Oyster” was created. The program fills the user with nothing but pleasure and pure bliss. But society must soon face the consequences of what happens when reality begins to disappear and only The Oyster remains.

The Oyster was created, written, and executive produced by Alexander Aldea and Adrienne Schaffler. It stars Logan Browning, Carla Gugino, Mamoudou Athie, Keith David, Giancarlo Esposito, Constance Zimmer, Donnell Rawlings, Kenny Allen, and more. The first two episodes are available to listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and wherever else you listen to podcasts.
