Harry Styles Named “Hitmaker of the Year” By Variety

As part of Variety’s Hitmakers honors, Harry Styles has been named “Hitmaker of the Year”! The annual awards honor the best in the music business, based on the top 25 most listened-to songs each year. With two major hits in “Adore You” and “Watermelon Sugar” alongside his chart topping album Fine Line, the editors at Variety chose Styles for the top honor. Other artists who will be honored at the virtual ceremony in December include:

Breakthrough Artist of the Year: Roddy Ricch

Songwriter of the Year: Lewis Capaldi

Crossover Award: Maren Morris

Executive of the Year: Columbia Records chairman/CEO Ron Perry

Manager of the Year: Wassim “Sal” Slaiby

Hook of the Year: The Weeknd, “Blinding Lights”

Producer of the Year: Mustard

Styles will also get a full length profile and cover in Variety which will be published December 2. The awards will be held on December 3, with more honorees to be announced later.
