The ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 29 Celebrity Cast Is Officially Here

With less than two weeks before the September 14 premiere of the newest season of ABC favorite Dancing With the Stars, the celebrity cast list has officially been released. Good Morning America shared the news exclusively, along with a few other important updates about the show, including the news that supermodel Tyra Banks will be hosting this season, replacing Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.

The news about the host change was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to surprises about the upcoming season, as many of the celebrities competing were unexpected to say the least. The announced cast consists of:

  • Monica Aldama: Cheer star and coach
  • Carole Baskin: Big cat rights activist
  • Kaitlyn Bristowe: The Bachelorette star
  • Vernon Davis: Former NFL tight end
  • Anne Heche: Film & television actress
  • Skai Jackson: Disney Channel actress
  • Justina Machado: Television actress
  • Jeannie Mai: Television host & stylist
  • AJ McLean: Backstreet Boys singer
  • Jesse Metcalfe: Film & television actor
  • Nelly: Rapper & singer
  • Charles Oakley: Former NBA power forward
  • Nev Schulman: Catfish host & producer
  • Chrishell Stause: Actress & reality television star
  • Johnny Weir: Olympic figure skater

With such a diverse cast of stars and Tyra Banks hosting, season 29 promises to be one of the most interesting seasons of Dancing With the Stars we have seen yet.
