Ew, David! — ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Receives an Incredible 15 Emmy Nominations!

The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards, an award show honoring the best in U.S. prime time television programming between June 1, 2019 and May 31, 2020, are just on the horizon. On September 20, the show will commence at 8 p.m. EST.

The highly anticipated list of Emmy nominees was finally released this morning, hosted by Leslie Jones and presented by Josh Gad, Tatiana Maslany, and Laverne Cox.

To nobody’s surprise, the wonderfully hilarious and heartwarming comedy that took its final bow earlier this year — Schitt’s Creek — has received a whopping 15 nominations.

First and foremost, the show was nominated for the Outstanding Comedy Series category.

Some of the other standout categories include nominations for each beloved member of the Rose family:

  • Dan Levy for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series
  • Eugene Levy for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series
  • Catherine O’Hara for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series
  • Annie Murphy for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series

  • Trevor Ambrose, “Happy Ending” for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Comedy Series
  • Paul Winestock, “Start Spreading The News” for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Comedy Series
