In anticipation of the third film in the Bill and Ted franchise, Bill & Ted Face the Music, members of the cast and crew got together to attend a Comic-Con@Home panel for the movie! Moderated by filmmaker and Bill and Ted fan Kevin Smith, stars of the film Alex Winter (Bill S. Preston), Keanu Reeves (Theodore “Ted” Logan), Brigette Lundy-Paine (Billie Logan), Samara Weaving (Thea Preston), and William Sadler (The Reaper) were in attendance alongside director Dean Parisot and writers Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson.
The official synopsis for Bill & Ted Face the Music is:
The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.
In the panel, writers Matheson and Solomon go into how Bill and Ted started, the origin story of Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, and the 10-year journey to get to the point of a third and final movie. Reeves and Winter discussed what it was like when they realized Bill and Ted were a pop culture phenomenon, Weaving and Lundy-Paine talked about the process of being cast as Billie and Thea (Bill and Ted’s children) and everyone on the panel gushed about their favorite moment from on set of the movie.
