HBO Releases ‘Lovecraft Country’ Sneak Peek During Comic-Con@Home

During its panel for Comic-Con@Home, HBO released a sneak peek at its new upcoming series Lovecraft Country. The clip shows characters Atticus Freeman, his father Montrose, and Leti in a museum after hours, as they search for clues to help them with their quest. The clip also teases some of the mystery and suspense elements of the show.

Based on the novel of the same name by Matt Ruff, Lovecraft Country follows Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors) as he, his childhood friend Leticia (Jurnee Smollett), and his uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) road trip from Chicago across 1950s Jim Crow America to find Atticus’ father, Montrose (Michael Kenneth Williams). The series will be 10 episodes long and will air on HBO beginning August 16 at 9 p.m. ET.
