Netflix is Returning to ‘Outer Banks’ with a Season 2 Renewal!
A group of teenagers embarks on a treasure hunt that’s full of dark secrets … nothing can go wrong there, right?
Back in April, Netflix dropped a new original action-adventure drama series set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Starring Chase Stokes as John B, Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Madison Bailey as Kiara, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, and Rudy Pankow as JJ, Outer Banks follows a crew of “Pogues” as they attempt to figure out what happened to John B’s missing father, and end up entangled in a legendary but deadly treasure hunt along the way. Up against the law and the wealthy “Kooks,” the Pogues find that they may have bitten off more than they can chew with this adventure that’s full of love, drugs, fighting, friendship, and money.
Season 1’s ten-episode run was an addictive and quick binge, and fans have been eagerly waiting for more news on the show’s future.
As of today, season 2 has officially been confirmed. And in true Outer Banks fashion, the lead up to the announcement involved members of the cast posting fragments of the poster across their individual Instagram pages like mysterious pieces of a treasure map, before the full poster was revealed soon after.

Episode 10 of season 1, “The Phantom,” found John B and Sarah left to their own devices in the open sea as the Phantom capsized in the storm. They hitched a ride with a passing fishing boat, conveniently on it’s way to the Bahamas … which is exactly where they need to be in order to recover the stolen gold.
No further information is known about the plot or the planned premiere date of the second season. Stay tuned for more info!
