‘Birds of Prey’ Heading to HBO Max in August
Although the debut of Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) in theaters was cut short due to COVID-19, if you haven’t gotten the chance to view it, or simply want to rewatch Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) fall in love with her breakfast sandwich all over again — you still have a chance! HBO Max has announced that it will be adding the Warner Bros. film to its platform starting August 15.
Birds of Prey sees Harley dealing with the aftermath of her explosive breakup with the Joker that puts a target on her back because she no longer has him by her side. While on the run, Harley unintentionally teams up with Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez). The team fights to save Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) from Roman Sionis, better known as the Black Mask (Ewan McGregor), who is trying to retrieve the Bertinelli diamond from Cain, who pickpocketed it and will stop at nothing to do so.
