There is a new crime action movie heading to Netflix on August 14. The film Project Power stars Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Dominique Fishback. What would you do with five minutes of absolute power? Would you risk your life to find out?
“Power, power speak a little louder…I’m embedded with the power.”
The movie follows a local New Orleans police officer (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who, with the help of a teenage dealer (Dominique Fishback) and a former soldier searching for his daughter (Jamie Foxx) try to track down and put an end to the group who created a very unique pill. What is special about this pill is if you take it, it unlocks superpowers that are unique to you. Until you activate it and swallow it, you have no idea what will happen to you. Some people have gotten super strength or invisibility, to name a few. Others, it has shown a more deadly reaction. Crime in New Orleans starts to escalate all because of this magic pill, so it is time to fight power with power. You can see some of the first photos from the movie below!
Project Power is directed by Henty Joost and Ariel Schulman and written by Mattson Tomlin. The film also stars Rodrigo Santoro, Colson Baker, Allen Maldonado, Amy Landecker, and Courtney B. Vance.
