The official trailer for Dave Franco’s directorial debut horror film, The Rental, has finally arrived.

Co-written by Franco (Neighbors, The Disaster Artist) and Joe Swanberg (You’re Next), The Rental stars Alison Brie (GLOW), Dan Stevens (Legion), Jeremy Allen White (Shameless), and Sheila Vand (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night).

The film’s ominous plot is as follows:

Two couples on an oceanside getaway grow suspicious that the host of their seemingly perfect rental house may be spying on them. Before long, what should have been a celebratory weekend trip turns into something far more sinister, as well-kept secrets are exposed and the four old friends come to see each other in a whole new light.

In the trailer, what seems to be a fun getaway to a beautiful home quickly turns suspicious as the red flags begin to pile up. At one point, they even begin to suspect that there’s a hidden camera in the shower, a chilling reality that many rental home goers often find themselves paranoid over. However, the couples are clearly dealing with something worse than your average creep, as their situation becomes frenzied and sinister as they appear to be fighting for their lives.

If you live near the Vineland Drive-In, which is located just outside of L.A. in the City of Industry, don’t miss out on tonight’s special pop-up premiere of the film. ArcLight Cinemas teamed up with IFC Films for a special screening, which will take place at 8:30 p.m. this evening. Dave Franco will be in attendance for a live Q&A as well. Admission tickets are still available for $55 a carload here.
