Last week, Riverdale‘s Vanessa Morgan (Toni Topaz) and Drew Ray Tanner (Fangs Fogarty) announced on Instagram Live that they had been working on new music together and had been for a while now. The duo’s group, These Girls These Boys, has been in the works for about a year now, according to their Instagram. Fans were excited that two of their favorites would be dropping music together and after much anticipation, the day finally came.

The first single from These Girls These Boys, “Sleep When I’m Dead,” is officially available everywhere and is a steady, upbeat song that mixes Vanessa and Drew’s voices together beautifully. The slower tempo when Vanessa is singing versus the gradual and faster beat when Drew is singing flows well. The beat is slow then gradually speeds up throughout the bridge while still keeping a quietness to it. It has a classic pop song feel that’ll put anyone in a good mood.

Stream, download, or buy “Sleep When I’m Dead” by These Girls These Boys here and expect new music from the duo soon. Watch the official music video below and decide for yourself if these two will be on your summer quarantine playlist.
