‘V-Wars’ Cancelled After One Season on Netflix

The sci-fi show V-Wars, which is based on the graphic novels by Jonathan Maberry, quickly became a hit with fans after its release on Netflix in December. However, according to The Hollywood ReporterV-Wars will not be renewed for a second season. 

The first season followed Dr. Luther Swann, a physician-scientist and his best friend, Michael Fayne. They come face to face with an evolving crisis of a deadly outbreak that pits humans and vampires against each other. 

The show starred Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries), Adrian Holmes (Arrow), Peter Outerbridge (The Umbrella Academy), Laura Vandervoort (BittenSmallville), Kyle Breitkopf (The Whispers), Jacky Lai (Beyond) and Kimberly-Sue Murray (Shadowhunters).

Loyal fans of the series, have started a petition for Netflix to give V-Wars a second season. The show pulled an audience score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. The petition currently has over 15,000 signatures. You can sign the petition here.
