John Krasinski Brings Us Good News in His New Web Series ‘Some Good News’

“Why not us? Why not now? So ladies and gentlemen, this is your fault, and this is SGN.”

In these uncertain times, the news can be a drag. It’s filled with well…bad news. Not anymore. John Krasinski, an actor you may know from a little show called The Office or the film that’s probably not the best idea to watch right now, A Quiet Place, has taken to the internet with a new web series dedicated only to bringing us good news appropriately titled, “Some Good News” aka “SGN.”

In the premiere episode, he takes to social media to prove the world is still a beautiful place, filled with love and camaraderie, even when it might feel like we’re all alone. He highlights the amazing support shown to our heroes in healthcare and delivery services, along with how a community can still come together to celebrate a teenager’s final chemotherapy treatment despite the need for social distancing.

Along with all of these amazing clips, he celebrated the 15th anniversary of The Office with the Best Boss Ever, Steve Carell (Michael Scott) in a web chat reminiscing about the show and their favorite memories.

“I think today was a good day to have two managers. ‘Cause if you’re a family stuck on a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean, one parent might want to just keep rowing, but if the other parent wants to play a game, it’s not because they’re crazy, it’s because they’re doing it for the kids. And I get that now.” –Jim Halpert, ‘The Office’ Season 6, Episode 10, “Murder”

So, prepare to cry tears of joy and enjoy the brightest 15 minutes of television you’ll watch today.

Have some good news to submit? You can find SGN on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube (where you can subscribe to keep up with all the good news!). You can watch the first episode above.
