The newest show in the Star Trek universe, Star Trek: Picard, is set to premiere next month on CBC All Access and has already been renewed for a second season. Deadline reported yesterday the early renewal.

Star Trek: Picard will premiere on January 23 and a new episode will drop every week on CBS All Access. For international viewers, it will be available on Amazon Prime.

Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard), Jonathan Frakes (Will Riker), Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), Brent Spiner (Data) and Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) will all reprise their roles.

Plot of the show is still kept secret, but it seems it will involve the former Admiral Picard to come out of retirement and the Borgs.
