Legendary Comic announced the release of the third volume of Lost in Space: Countdown to Danger. The popular graphic novel series is based on the classic science fiction show. This volume features two new storylines. The graphic series gives readers the opportunity for more missions not aired on the Netflix Original show.
The first storyline follows Judy Robinson after she gets a distress signal and races off in her chariot to help. Don tags along, causing Judy to think he is hiding something from her. The second storyline is about John and Maureen, who barely escape death and head back to Jupiter. When animals threaten their lives, new and old experiences will be needed to survive.
“With the return of the amazing season two of Lost in Space on Netflix, we are thrilled to continue to bring fans the adventures they didn’t see on television with the release of our third original graphic novel in the comic expansion series,” said Robert Napton, Senior Vice President of Legendary Comics.
Lost in Space is set 30 years in the future when the Robinson family crash-lands on a mysterious and dangerous planet. On this planet, they encounter a hostile environment and a puzzling alien robot. The family must call on their training and each other to survive.
The graphic novel was written by New York Times best-selling writer Brian Buccellato (Detective Comics; The Flash) and artwork by the fantastic multidisciplinary artist Zid (Skull Island: Birth of Kong; Trick ‘r Treat: Days of the Dead).
The graphic novels are now on sale in comic stores and online, and the second season of Lost in Space premieres on Netflix December 24.
